Live virtual classroom from Abidjan
Atypix does not operate a physical office in Abidjan. The PRINCE2 Foundation preparation is therefore delivered as a live virtual classroom, running in the same Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) zone used in Côte d'Ivoire. Sessions are facilitated from one of Atypix's agency locations, with real-time interaction, screen sharing and breakout discussions. You join from your workspace, avoiding traffic and travel time. Professionals based in Abidjan, San-Pédro, Bouaké or Yamoussoukro receive the same content, materials and instructor access as attendees in Dakar or Cotonou, while remaining in their local professional environment.
PeopleCert exam and certification
Exam format and eligibility
The PRINCE2 Foundation exam is administered by PeopleCert, AXELOS's official examination institute. According to PeopleCert's published exam guide, the test is delivered online through online proctoring, lasts 60 minutes, contains 60 multiple-choice questions and is closed book. The passing score is 60 %. PeopleCert sets no formal prerequisite for the Foundation exam: you do not need a specific degree or prior project management experience. According to available information, official results are issued within two business days. The exam is available in French, which is the working language used during the Atypix preparation. You need a stable internet connection, a webcam and a valid ID for identity verification by the remote invigilator.
Unlike PMI certifications that require scheduling at a Pearson VUE test center, the PRINCE2 Foundation exam is taken entirely through PeopleCert's platform. You select your time slot online, receive your login credentials and complete the assessment under live remote invigilation. This removes the need to travel to an exam center, a convenience that matters in Abidjan where international certification test centers remain limited for project management credentials.
Exam cost and renewal
Exam pricing is set by PeopleCert in foreign currency. The official bundle combining the exam voucher and the official eBook is listed at USD 701 inclusive of tax on the PeopleCert store. The PRINCE2 Foundation certificate must be renewed every three years. Renewal requires 60 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points through a PeopleCert Plus membership, or passing another certification in the same product suite before the renewal date. This mechanism ensures that credential holders keep their knowledge of the method current.
Job market and sectors in Abidjan
Abidjan hosts the headquarters of major Ivorian conglomerates and the country offices of international firms. Infrastructure, energy, digital transformation and multilateral-funded programmes generate strong demand for project managers who can establish clear governance, stage gates and reporting lines. PRINCE2 is recognized by international employers, consulting firms, banks, telecom operators and construction groups operating in Côte d'Ivoire. It signals structured thinking and documented decision-making, skills that are especially valuable when projects involve multiple stakeholders, donor compliance and steering-committee oversight. Technical NGOs, ministry project units and large private-sector programme offices regularly seek profiles that combine sector expertise with a formal project methodology.
Training funding
In Côte d'Ivoire, the Fonds de Développement de la Formation Professionnelle (FDFP) funds continuing training for salaried workers. Contributing companies can allocate these funds through an annual training plan, in line with FDFP deadlines. If you are employed, ask your human resources department whether this preparation can be included in your company's training plan. For self-employed or job-seeking individuals, the national vocational training agency (AGEFOP) manages insertion and conversion schemes; coverage of international certifications depends on the annual catalogue. Self-funding is also possible; in that case the course fee for Côte d'Ivoire is displayed on this page.
Next step: PRINCE2 Practitioner
After passing the Foundation exam, you may progress to the PRINCE2 Practitioner level. This higher credential validates your ability to apply and tailor the method to a real project scenario. PeopleCert requires the Foundation certificate as a prerequisite for the Practitioner exam. The Atypix programme covers the seven principles, seven practices and seven processes of the method, but does not guarantee exam success: certification is awarded solely by PeopleCert based on your own performance.
