Senior Project Manager, Deputy to the CEO
You are the CEO's right hand: you run operations and ongoing projects, manage the Dakar team and lead the company when the CEO is away.
The role
Atypix trains and certifies project managers in Canada and West Africa and provides consulting. The group is growing and opening new markets: the CEO needs a right hand in Dakar who can run the company and keep it on course when the CEO is away.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations: training sessions, Pearson VUE test center, administration, logistics.
- Run the project portfolio: corporate training, consulting assignments, market openings, internal initiatives; track deadlines, budgets and risks.
- Lead the Dakar team: meetings, objectives, follow-up, recruitment and onboarding.
- Make day-to-day decisions and represent the firm in the CEO's absence, with a weekly report to the CEO.
What we are looking for
- Master's degree in management, project management, engineering or similar.
- 5+ years in project or operations management, including at least 2 years leading a team.
- PMP certification required, or obtained within 6 months (Atypix will prepare you).
- Predictive and agile practices, financial sense (budgets, dashboards).
- Fluent French and professional English.
- Calm, demanding leadership; able to work autonomously with a sometimes remote CEO.
