The schedule baseline is the approved version of the project schedule that serves as a reference point for measuring and reporting schedule performance. It includes, at a minimum, the schedule milestones, schedule activities, activity attributes, and documentation of all identified assumptions and constraints. The schedule baseline is established through the schedule management process and can only be changed through formal change control procedures, with schedule baseline updates being a key output when changes are approved.
